Hi, habibi.
I write gay Arab fantasy.
My name is Chris Chedrawi (pronounced Shed-raw-we or Shed-reh-we)
American-Lebanese writer, Boston local, husband, and proud dog dad. I grew up in Lebanon and have been writing stories since I was 15.
I used to write TV reviews for online magazines, and while I still enjoy talking about my favorite season finales and plot twists with close friends and family, I’ve mostly moved on to writing my own stuff now.
I’ve dabbled in everything from sci-fi to screenwriting (original pilots, spec scripts, fan fiction—you name it), but fantasy novels centering gay Arab characters are where my heart is now. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me:
☕️ Chugging a black iced coffee at a Boston café
🎮 Playing video games (single-player puzzle platformers are my favorites)
📚 Hunting for books at local shops (I love that we have so many!)
📺 Binge-watching shows with my husband (aka my husbibi)
✨ Volunteering with Boston Gaymers for LGBTQ+ gaming events
Let’s connect over fantasy, Arab representation, gay stuff, or your favorite Boston bookstore!

I strongly believe that newsletters are underrated. I’m also trying to use social media less over time, so I created a newsletter called Manoushe & Iced Coffee.
I plan to use this for updates on writing, reading, events, the occasional life stuff and more. Join me for a manoushe and iced coffee, won’t you?
